Budgeting Narrative Is the Backbone of a Grant

I am writing to share a grant proposal titled “Budget Backbone Pilot and Toolkit Initiative,” developed in collaboration with Phoebe McKnight. This initiative emerges from our combined experience in community-centered grantwriting and regenerative project development.
The Budget Backbone framework reimagines the grant budget as more than a financial form—it becomes a clear, intentional narrative tool that empowers communities and strengthens funding alignment. We are seeking support to pilot this approach with Indigenous and regenerative project teams and to publish a free, publicly accessible toolkit.
